Coasters featuring her beloved pets: Jojo, Ninja, and Winston

First, I trace a photo in Adobe Illustrator to outline areas that will be one color or another.

Then I print just the outlines scaled to the size of the coaster (4x4” wet). I place the template over a piece of plastic centered on the clay, and trace with a fine-point pen to transfer indents of the lines. I then carve out further after removing the plastic.

I made a test tile of mixed underglaze colors to try and match the animals.
